David Wood is an emerging artist with works in collections in New England and the District of Columbia. Working with photography and painting enables him to explore the potentials of balance and imbalance—often at an intersection between the  representational and the abstract. His use of elemental forms, color, contrast, and light offer a singularly personal expression of the natural world and that of our created environment.

”Caminante, son tus huellas
el camino y nada más;
Caminante, no hay camino,
se hace camino al andar.
Al andar se hace el camino,
y al volver la vista atrás
se ve la senda que nunca
se ha de volver a pisar.
Caminante, no hay camino
sino estelas en la mar.”

—Antonio Machado
